Hello, GameMakers!

Substack has been an incredibly excellent email newsletter service to use, and it’s been amazing for us as we grew to our first 5K subscribers.

However, we always want to experiment and improve if we can, so we decided to try a new service. The primary motivation is to try and grow even more to support more hella cool content we have ideas for.

However, some BAD NEWS!

Our “open rate,” the number of people who read our emails, dropped from over 45% to under 33% after the switch!

I have had several complaints about our emails appearing in spam or promotional folders.

This email is from Substack, so if you haven’t received our last 3-4 emails, it’s likely because our email is now in your Spam or promotional folder!

The best way to get it back into your inbox is to find one of the last 3-4 emails from our new service from “gamemakers@mail.beehiiv.com” and please mark it as not junk.

Or you could reply to that email and say “hi” or let me know what you’d like us to write about.

Finally, with the switch to Beehiiv we have also updated our website to link to Beehiiv. Check out gamemakers.com.
